1. I wanted an automatic. The Saab is my "traffic" car. All of the following comments may not apply to a manual, which you can only get in the 2.3 (or Aero).
2. The 2.3 four had noticable vibration when idling. This IS a four, after all.
3. The off-the-line acceleration was poor enough to the point I would be afraid to do a quick left turn in traffic. Once rolling, however, there is not that great a difference.
4. While the V6 has that "burble" noise when accelerating, my gut feeling is that the car is overall quieter than the four. This is after driving the vehicles back-to-back so my recollection was fresh.
