I just bought a 2003 9-5 Aero and my 94 9000 is sitting in the garage. 9000 is by far more fun to drive, 5-spd manual vs. Sentronic. Although Auto shift and Sport mode are fun. Great seats in 9-5 better in 9000. Gas mileage better in manual. Cornering and feel in 9000 better, different cars alltogethor. But 2.3 is solid in my opinion, the 9000 has 190K and still pulls like a train, original motor, turbo and tranny. I am still trying to get used to the 9-5 I am putting summer tires to help cornering. Both great cars in their own, but in 1994 Saab nailed the Sports Sedan concept for the sports drive with hatch, room and gas mileage.
