if the TC on current cars is actually off when you turn it off? In other words, you can turn it off if you are going under a certain speed. Does it stay off? Is this also the case with the ESP?
I frequently turn off the TC, because it has some unsettling effects. For instance, this morning I turned into the street. There was a person coming, but they were pretty far back. However, they turned into the lane I was going in. Once I realized this, I decided that I didn't want them to be slowed down by me. So, I punched it a bit. One wheel lost traction, and the TC shut the engine down. This is BS. What if I needed power because a car was coming toward me and I might be able to get out of the way? The TC shuts down the engine, when what you need is more power and not less. Who cares if the tires lose some rubber?
In certain situations, TC is worse.
