On all new SAAB 4cyl Turbo engines
the AC cooling is ahaed of the
intercooler which is ahead of
the radiator. It's one big sandwich.
As such when you switch on AC at lower
speeds it will recuce the effectiveness
of the intercooler as the air gets heated
up by the AC cooling...
Thus yes on hot days at lower speeds you
get that less power feeling.
What you can do it to mount the Aero intercooler
into an LPT or a larger intercooler into the Aero,
this helps quite a bit at speeds above 25Mph.
I use a larger intercooler in my Aero and it makes
a big difference on hot days.
Regards,
Coolknight
