Now... if I would not buy a SAAB
I would buy the C320. This cause
the C320 is a safe car, unlike
the A6. The 530 is not bad but less
good then the 9-5 or C320.
Comes down to what kind of driving you
do. If you cruise around you might be very
happy with a V6 or inline 6 from any of these
car makers.
If however you like to move in the 20-150 Mph
range... well 9-5 Aero is the way to go.
5spd Auto or 5spd manual comes down to preference.
The Aero is a sports car in disguise... STEALTH.
Make no mistake about it, the little 4 banger in the
Aero is a killer engine, that's why SAAB asks quite
a bit of money for the Aero. I have a 2000 9-5 Aero
5spd with a 260Hp upgrade and the car is a mean
machine that tops out at 162Mph. If that is not enough
companies like Nordic, Speedparts, Abbott have some
excellent engine mods that offer big HP for little money
with no effect on engine reliability. up to 310Hp.
Plus you get altitude compensating Turbocharging, and
ONLY SAAB has that cause their T7 engine computer is
so high-tech.
So why the bad resale value... well most people believe
that power comes from many many cylinders... in a Aero
it comes from overall engine efficiency.
Go drive a 2002 Aero 5spd Auto or manual, then
make up your mind.
If you buy, do so for 6 years. If not lease one.
Regards,
Coolknight
