My observation of "several seconds" my be overstated, but it is still close to 2 seconds and much longer than I've ever experienced.
The most annoyance is when letting off the accelerator to slow down. I would like the engine to slow me down quicker. I have to learn to compenstate for the engine carrying me further than if I immediately backed off. I live in the mountains here in Colorado and do a lot of driving with sharp curves and steep hills. Thus, the desire to have the manual transmission. I can certainly live with this, as I have for the last couple of months, and having you explain the possible reasoning behind it helps me to understand.
I am otherwise very pleased with this vehicle. It is a joy to drive with the standard quality and performance I have come to expect from Saab.
Thank you for your comments.
Dave
