Maximum oil pressure on 2000 AERO engine

What pressure does the oil bypass valve open at in a 2000 AERO engine?
I recently dropped the oil pan on my car because the oil pressure light flickered on. I Drove for 5 minutes then parked it. The pickup screen was almost completely clogged with "coffee grounds". I have always done 5000 mile oil changes exactly on time (originally SAAB semi-synth, and Castrol full synthetic for the past 3 years). I will be installing Bob Bright's oil pan in the coming weeks to make it easier to keep tabs on what is continuing to happen.
I also bought an oil filter sandwich adapter so that I can monitor acutal oil pressures from now on too. Here are the pressures that I am seeing.
Cold start
Jumps right up to 105 psi at idle. As engine warms up, pressure falls.
Fully warmed in Park
900 RPM Idle - 20psi
1500 RPM - 35psi
2000 RPM - 42psi
3000 RPM - 72psi
4000 RPM - 83psi
On Freeway
58 mph 2000 RPM - 43psi
75 mph 2500 RPM - 58psi
Are these too high? What pressure is the valve supposed to open at and maintain in the engine?
Also, how hard is it to get the valve out? It looks like when trying to remove it, it would hit the frame and not come out all the way.
Thanks for any help,
Michael
