Interesting...... I thought about sticking with GT17 + BSR upgrade, but decided go for a rebuilt TD04. The place I bought one from will take my GT17 as a core, so my final cost with gaskets, new M12 banjo bolts and washers are under $500, so not a bad deal, I think.

I guess I can get a stock Aero ECU and have it married to my 03 Linear, then hopefully my total cost for the hardware/ software upgrade is under $1,000. If anyone has done this, how much was the cost, and would SAAB dealership do this? I asked Nick at GenuineSAAB.com and waiting for his response.

I am really pissed with GT17, and I would not trust its reliability, especially after ECU upgrade. I had seen enough cloud of smoke behind my car....... Hope to get busy burning off oil residue left in my exhaust pipe with TD04 very soon. My TD04 will arrive tomorrow!
