If you do mostly highway driving running longer, say to 7,500 won't matter, assuming you're using a top quality synthetic. But if the miles include stop and go, low speeds, short trips with the engine not being really hot very often, then 5,000 is the answer.
FWIW, we have a '03 Linear wagon, also with 103K on it. I've done the oil every 5K since we got it at 40K. (the PO did the same thing). No issues that I can tell, although it seems to use about 1/2 a quart in about 4,000 miles.
I go to 6,000 or even 8,000 sometimes on my '96 9K (also synthetic) but the 9-5 isn't as good an engine, so the more frequent change seems to make sense. It's about $30 per change if you get the oil and filters on sale, so it's not onerous. Of course if you pay for the work it's a lot more.
