Took about four attempts calling them to set up and activate my account on my one month old Aero. My salesman had already done this as part of the PDI process,but for some reason, it did not register in their system. Numerous disconnects during the four sign up attempts. Finally tried it last week while 3 miles south of my tentative exit off I95 in Portland Maine. Sign on to Onstar, and once I tell the "rocket scientist" where I am trying to go, and that I am 3 to the south of my proposed exit,he asks me if that is Portland Oregon or Portland Maine. Let's all bow our heads while we say"Duuuuuhhhh"! GPS is accurate to about 50 feet! How the F..K can he be off by 2,800 miles? Proceeds to give me wrong directions to a hotel that I could just about see from the highway, but did not know the exact exit or ramps to use to get to it, go about 6 miles out of my way to backtrack there, and the friendly toll taker on the Maine turnpike gets me there in 3 minutes.
Anyone wanna buy a used Onstar? Give me a DVD based navigation screen display any day.
