Just to throw my situation in the mix, I recently replaced my TB with a genuine saab part (I'll have to look really close at it tomorrow) and though it solved my surging problem at cruise and idle, it gave my car a high idle at startup and starting throwing a code for MAF issues. Other's on this BB noted that the code shows up sometimes if a hose wasn't correctly replaced upon installation so for the last month or so I have been looking for a leak of some sort. I replaced the MAF with the one off my other 9-5 and the code came back instantly, with the high initial idle. A smoke test couldn't locate any leaks either. Now that you've shared your experience I'm starting to think that I have the same problem: a faulty, new, genuine saab replacement part. I didn't get it through Eeuropart but through another site sponsor. I'm sure they'll take care of me but it is worth noting.
Thanks for bringing this up. It makes me feel less confused.
