problem, high oil temperatures, and claimed "low friction" design, I decided to not use the teflon additive in my 9-5. But I did use it in 900s and 9000s, including Turbo models, with no ill effects. I used "Tufoil". and have great faith in the company founder, Frank Reich.
Digression:
Back when the 9000s were experiencing chain failures, I sent some samples to Frank Reich for analysis. He returned with a number of scanning electron microscope images that pretty well proved the failure mode was the chain roller sleeve (goes between the roller and pin) was wearing out prematurely, causing the chain pitch (length between the rollers) to go out of spec which resulting in impact between the roller and sprocket. This impact accelerated the wear in the roller sleeve, which caused even greater wear rate. It explained how the cars would go from "fine" to "broken" in just a few thousand miles. The chain failures were "solved" by switching from the traditional supplier to a Japanese one.
