Yes, the Aero was treated relatively well, especially vs. the way Saab is normally positioned in these reviews.
Nevertheless, the testing misses some key elements. It dwells on 0 - MPH times but doesn't even consider rolling acceleration (e.g. 30 - 80 MPH, which is where I do most of my real world driving and where a 330 can't touch my Aero)). It also has the crazy idea that the Bimmer's engine is more fuel efficient than my Saab by a significant margin, which I know for a fact is baloney.
They also significantly overestimate the price of the Aero, and significantly underestimate the price of the G35 and even the BMW (to a lesser extent).
If Saab can create a car with FWD that performs as well as the Aero, I can't even imagine what they'll be able to do once they get their hands on AWD.
