I need to do this too. Did you cut as in the image below or somewhere else. I'm not understanding what notch you are referring to. I thought you cut on the right side through one of the grooves where the jalousie is narrowest.
Are you saying you modified this to cut through the notch that fits into the shifter handle on the right side so that the notch holds the cut together? If so, isn't that more visible than the cutting where the jalousie is thinner?
Do you have to fiddle with the shifter handle at all with this method or just remove the piece surrounding the jalousie?
