Have 100k on a very well maintained 2004 Aero. After owning 7 Saabs to date, I am disappointed in the fact the suspension setup is fragile and short lived, difficult and quite expensive to fix. Expect struts, mounts, shocks, springs, and a Ton of expensive bushings to replace. If you dontreplace this stuff the car will beat you to death and the ride height drops an inch or more so you run into everything with the aero. Tire life will suffer as well as it stays way out of alignment. Inner edge wears badly.
Also expect to replace the engine mounts and torque rod at around 100 k as they will be shot as well, this makes the engine shake badly at idle and clunk while shifting.
And the poorly designed and short lived coolant bypass valve, and the early failure of dash wood or CF inserts, they have become impossible to find replacements for and the AC distribution flap, hinge and motor problems that plague these cars.
Other than that, it is a lot like my other Saabs, with short lived fuel pumps, DI cartridges, CPS units and various oil leaks to be expected. I was used to that stuff, not used to dumping a couple of grand on suspension at 100k. Only now parts are harder to get than they were before Saab shut down, prices for parts has generally increased as well.
Love my Saabs, but I am a realist, I would look elsewhere.
