Went to the dealer (Symes Cadillac/Sabb in Pasadena CA) on Friday for the 30 day service on my new 2002 Aero wagon. The car has been running flawlessly with no problems. I had a brief list of items I wanted reprogrammed (e.g., auto locking of doors and tailgate above 7 mph., etc....) I was told that I would have to pay for the reprogramming since the dealership's contract with SAAB did not cover the reprogramming and because I had bought the car at another dealership (SAAB of South County--a great dealership and good folks, but a bit to far to go to for normal maintenance.) I was also told I could go back to the selling dealer who would do the adjustments for free.
I've had good experinces with Symes SAAB with my '96 900. I don't blame the dealership I blame SAAB itself. Why should it matter where I buy the car as long as I buy a SAAB? This is one policy that needs fixing.
