Awesome photo of that turbo-x of yours. Looks like a beast!
I'm wondering if you've had the vert out in winter at all? If so, how did you like it? We were really shocked at how much less good the 9-5 is in winter than the c900's. And we've tried 2 sets of good snow tires on it (215/55R16 Michelins and 205/55R16 Hakkas). The 9-5 is fine, but the c900 blows it away when the roads are slick, even with 10 year old worn out snow tires and no abs. I just find that the TCS light comes on really easily accelerating from a stop on the 9-5. Also I find it is not as stable at high speeds on snow. The grip is just not the same. If a plow has left a 6" deep ridge of wet snow along the dashed line on the freeway, I can switch lanes at 60mph with no drama in the c900 (makes a nice splat sound!). Switching lanes at speed in the 9-5 with even an inch of uniform snow coverage feels, well, more floaty - it has been ok, but just does not feel as planted. Basically, the 9-5 gets us around safely, but I look forward to snow storms so I can get the c900 out!
This came up in another thread on tire width, and I think my next step may be to try 195 series hakkas, but I think it may be more weight/weight distribution... with 700lbs give or take of extra bulk, the 9-5 may just be a bit lardy for fwd to be fun in snow... maybe as people go to increasingly heavier vehicles, awd is the only way to go? but then, what about stopping?
