Yeah, about the fuel pump issue, that was my 1st guess at broken part, and I really thought I couldn't hear it when I primed the engine (key in ON without start) Of course I may be partially deaf because when I removed the seat and tried it again, I put my hand on the fuel pump assembly and definitely felt vibration. I thought it was weak, so I just took a semi-educated guess that I semi-killed it with gunk that had to be at the bottom of the gas tank. That, of course, could have been a completely wrong assumption, but since the pump had 110K on it, the whole assemble new was only $120 at eEuroparts, I went ahead and replaced it. WITHOUT breaking the valves, which was a minor miracle. Working on three 9000 Aero's and a 900, this was my fifth time doing the pump. By far the easiest...Anyway, why the car stalled in the first place is still up to debate...It was the starter fluid test that made me think fuel. Now I know that that is not the only possibility.
