I have two versions of the WIS and a copy of the EPC installed on an old IBM Thinkpad laptop that's running Win 10 32-bit. That's the key...install the 32-bit OS, not the 64-bit and pretty much everything will work. The older software does require local admin rights to run but otherwise runs OK on newer Windows.
As others mention, running an XP VM is also a solution if your computer has enough RAM and CPU. VMWare Player is pretty decent and is free. If you have a Tech 2 you really should have a dedicated machine for that software.
