It looked like a good idea in the beginning since the same sensor could be used for both Saab's and Volvo's so you could stock 2 for a plethora of cars instead of 10-15 different ones.
But as years went on and it became apparent from other mechanics trial and error and Volvo coming out with a bulletin warning about that the glue used to seal their wire harness connector was enough to contaminate the reference oxygen trickling down through the strands of the wires, I moved away from them and started to buy the original Bosch or Denso sensor.
With the extra time to "cut and paste" the universal sensor compared to routing a whole harness and just plug it in and the chance of a comeback was not worth it for me.
I never used that funky looking connection box since that was even more work involved and I didn't really care for the design of the twist nuts.
But for a DIY person only spending his own time it might work out in your favor.
