Both Ig. Cassettes, Saab. This ARC: 2.3T, 4 cyl. First off, thank each of you for responding! I'm learning. Yes, each of the cassettes, the failed and the newly installed, both Saab/OEM. This ARC is the 2.3T 4 cyl. Addtionally, as of today there is the additional code, P1230.
We're planning to install a new catalytic converter. Experience with the direct fit vs universal (welding required)? When I spoke with the Tech today, he interestingly said almost the same thing about the fuel dumping into the catalytic converter and burning everything up. (No wonder my son said it felt about like the engine was about to blow out from under the hood). Thank goodness that is contained to the cat!
Thoughts about the new code? What, based on your experience, would you think will be needed procedurally in addition to the new cat for the P1230? A re-set, etc?
Thank you a million!
