I have 3 cars running around with no chains. 2 -9000 5 speed and 1 - 9-5 Auto. You can feel the vib on the auto a little at idle but not the 5 speeds. I do the fast and dirty way with motor in car , drop the pan and snip the chain, only bad thing is if the Bal chain tensioner blows out the oil pressure will rocket and I lose a motor but I have many miles on these and no problem , an you can feel the diff., it is like the diff. in running AC or not. If you are worried about this just leave the shafts in but take the tensioner out and use the deleat system there. I have a write up either on this or the 9000 board.
