That's a good idea Swede. I had left the belt tension-ed and the crank stay in place just to 'break' the cam bolt, then removed the rollers and TB to get the sprockets off. the aft head cams 'popped' about 30* BTDC when the sprocket got loosened. Hoping there was enough clearance for that.
Now back to getting the front head off.
WIS calls for 'undo the adjuster rollers'..then..'remove the inner T cover'. . I removed the rollers as I'm replacing them. The roller carrier is pinning the inner timing cover, I loosened the 2 carrier bolts but that still doesn't move so I can't get the T cover off. Should I just bend the T cover? Rap the carrier harder with a hammer? I've not gone here before.
There's some weeping around the aft cam seals and the crank--see pic-- I'm replacing all the cam seals with the crank seal.
The Felpro crank seal kit comes with a tin gasket --see pic-- does that go behind the carrier/inner timing cover?
thanks in advance for any sage wisdom shared by the group and Happy Motoring!
