Claude, I had chance to drive the Viggen at the Saab Owner's Convention this past summer at Lime Rock Park Raceway. The Viggen was used on a small autocross course as it is about 300-400 lbs. lighter than the Aero and was a bit more tossible around the cones. The Aeros were used on a bigger autocross course. The Aero did feel bit large compared to the Viggen when driving them back-to-back. But on the the Limerock's road course the cornering speed was more weighted to composure and untimate grip and less on weight where turn in was a bit slower. I followed a few Viggens around on the open track session and there was basically no difference in cornering speed or line held. And this is with VFA graduates. They could not understand why an Abbottized Aero wagon and Nordic Aero sedan were leaving them in the straight aways until they found out we were chipped.
If your going to be autocrossing a few times a month then I would be pressed towards a 5-door Viggen and let your passengers suffer otherwise an Aero will provide comfort for everyone and the power of the Viggen with less torque steer. I saw 26.5 MPG over a 2500 mile this past winter averaging 40 MPH on the SID.
You love the upgrade to the Aero and your passengers will thank you for it. ;)
