of 50s and 60s vintage. Today, engine parts are CNC machined to much
closer tolerances. So, early oil change is not necessary.
You haven't posted in a LONG while Dr. Pogeybait! Good to see you
again, buddy.
Did you know that one of the early TSB on the first Chevy Small Block
V8s was to pour Bon-Ami down the carburator to rough up the cylinder
walls so that it wouldn't burn so much oil?
Early oil change is only recommended for Briggs and Stratton engines
these days.
Jason and I are very picky about oil changes. So, if there is ANY
reason whatsoever to do the early oil change, we would do so. However,
when factory fill became semi-synthetic, Saab discovered that there
was no longer need to do the early oil change.
