It depends on what you consider better! I have a '91 9000 Turbo (5 speed) and a '00 9-5 Wagon (auto).
The 9000 is much faster, has a much stiffer suspension and is alot more entertaining to drive. It also has better, more supportive seats. In every other respect, the 9-5 is a "better" car. It is more refined, so far has proven more reliable and is less work to drive in heavy rush hour traffic and/or on badly maintained roads. In the base trim I have (LPT) it is more boring to drive than the 9000.
