There is no such thing as a true Saab Engine. Both the 4 and the V6 are improvements on British engines. The 4 goes back to the Triumph which long ago went out of production. The V6 is derived from a current Vauxhall engine. Both have been extensively modified by Saab and are very rugged, reliable engines. The tranny may come all or in part from Japan or other GM locales. I have no information on new wheels or any plans to drop the Michelins. They are good tires although tend to be noisy on concrete pavement. Enjoy.
