I too looked at the BMW 5 & 3, A4(3.0) & A6 and the Baby Merc's for good measure.. Even if the Aero held @ it's sticker of 40K it's one hell of a ride in terms of handling, comfort, performance (250 hP.. need I say more?) and overall passenger exp.. in general my friends always comment on the performance first.. they can't believe the car "only" has 4 cylinders... the "stock" stereo clear, crisp deep sound, the thoughtfulness to the layout of controls, and it's comfortable ride without giving up much in terms of handling performance... When dealers are throwing ridiculous discounts at this car bring down the price (to $32,500 in my case for a 2002 Aero Steel Grey bought in August of last year) and you have an UNREAL car for the money... not to mention serious resale value and a following og loyalists like no other! Also, the number of Aero's shipped to the US is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than that of the other manufacturers you are looking at.. thus, good chance you won't run into yourself at every stop light or freeway jaunt... good luck! let us know what you decide!
