Purchased my ’99 9-5 SE after being a Nissan Maxima fan. The only thing I miss about the Maxima is the “gitty up” from a standing start and the Bose sound system. The Saab HK system is great too, but missing the low-end bass.

The 9-5 is a car that will make you feel intelligent, individualistic and somewhat smug driving down the road. I LOVE BOTTONS AND GAGETS! It is chalk full of them! My favorite thing about the car is how it touches each of you senses… The look, feel, smell… I love the smell for some reason? It’s a combination of the Elmo leather and crayons. Anyone know what material makes the car smell like crayons?

Bottom line… After you get used to driving this somewhat quirky machine… Driving anything else will seem boring and lame!

My two cents… ;-)

P.S. It was a close toss up between the 9-5 and the Audi A4. LOVED the Audi dashboard, but as soon as your eyes wandered beyond to the rest of the interior… YUCK!
