I read the msn board quite a bit as it's a natural clickover for me from the main msn page which is constantly highlighting it' new car reviews.
Anyway, I've read most of this guys reviews. He basically comes up with 66% to 71% for literally every car out there. But, what is surprising to me, despite his inaccuracies, he really did give the 9-5 a good review in the engineering/performance etc areas in comparison to what he typically says about other cars. It was, of course, the "Budget" section which brought the rating down to the level as the many other cars on the road reviewed by this guy. It's obvious that he, as an old coot, has serious old biases about turbos in general due to their supposed maitenance costs.
Anyway, I think I'm just trying to get across here that while casual readers who don't own Saabs may not be turned on by this review, people who read this guys reviews on a regular basis (and don't already have a Saab 9-5) should be surprised at how well he ranked Saab in the non-budget categories, which, generally, are what we read reviews for.
I'm just surprised that he even reviewed it! Shit, I've written four or five emails to msn cars asking why there were no Saab reviews.
