at Lund Cadillac. As a matter of fact, the sales guy who handled my sale had worked for a Saab dealership in Georgia before moving to Phoenix. Another salesman I talked to said of all the cars at the dealership, his favorite was the 9-5 Aero.
The above two were in a minority, though. The Calillac CTS was making its big splash last Spring when I first started investigating 9-5s. It was obvious to me, though not most other salesmen and customers that the 9-5s on hand were of higher build quality (both in and out) and offered better performance and economy (Aero, anyway) than the highly touted CTS. Saabs are treated like stepchildren at a dealership doing a high volume of a domestic brand. Every time I pull in for service or something I feel like I know a wonderful secret that is sitting in front of virtually everyone there. Too bad Saturn isn't doing much better than it is - that would be the only logical GM brand to dual with Saab. And I think they want to keep Saturn dealerships all alone. Oh well, I don't really know the answer, but Saab does have a name recognition/image problem, though I think it's worse here in the West than out East.
