In my Classic 900 days (I still have 3, plus the 9-5), I mistakenly thought a pair of the early Bridgestone Blizzak tires on the front of my 89 SPG would be sufficient. Yes - it got forward traction! Yes - it did brake nicely!
However, while making a right turn at a stop light the rear end swapped positions with the front end with zero provocation! The first time I felt it was simply an "odd occurence". The second time, I knew it was a SIGN!
Never again will I ever have snow tires on the front only! Four at a time!
