Use the polish if the paint is oxidixed. If the paint is in good shape, wash and dry the car. Then run the back of you hand over the surface of the paint. It should feel soft and smooth. If it has a slightly rough and/or gritty feel, the clay will take that off and leave you with a smooth surface. After that apply a good quality wax and that should do it! Hope this helps.
