I checked the gaps at 8K and they were on spec (.035")
I will check this weekend. With 100F temperatures, I am not interested in doing this with a hot engine after my return commute.
I don't think that small changes in plug gaps hurt the DI. Why? Because the change in the breakdown voltage between off boost partial manifold vacuums and WOT on boost is very large.
It will be interesting to see what the gaps are with the factory double platinum NGK laser plugs are after 19K. The gap should be quite stable I expect. I know that the ground electrode on the single platinums does erode open over a year (95SET).
And the spec for gaps has changed to .035" to .039" which is an interesting things.
