Turn signal service campaign and body shop ?s

So I took my '02 Aero in for the 10K service yesterday, and when I picked it up, one of the items on the ticket was a turn signal service campaign. Apparently they replaced the clips that hold it in.
Maybe they should have left the old clips alone. This morning I was driving on the freeway and the right turn signal popped out and, while still attached by the wire, beat itself against the hood and fender for about 30 seconds before it popped off wire and disintegrated on the concrete.
Bill at Kachina Cadillac/Oldmobile/Saab/Hummer/Etc. in Scottsdale was pretty cool about it and ended up taking the turn signal off of a stock car so I could get back on the road. He also assured me that everything would be covered under warranty. But now I have to do the whole body shop/repainting thing.
The car is perfect - zero dings - and I plan on having the car for a long, long time. Since the damage is localized to the corner of the hood and corner of the fender, should I just just have them touch up all of the scratches, or should they really repaint those panels in order to do it right? I'm concerned that if they repaint the whole panels, the colors won't match, will fade to different colors, or won't be as durable as the factory paint. If they just touch it up, will the touch-up paint be obvious?
Thanks for any advice. I imagine the car will go to the dealer's body shop some time next week.
