I have a 2000 Aero so the lights are the same. I'm positive the manual states specifically which fuse to pull the disable DRL. I remember reading it in the manual and then pulling it out. All this will do is disable lights with the light switch to the 'off' position.
Some other options you may want to consider:
program headlights to option 1: This will allow you to have parking lights (no main beams) when the switch is in the middle (12 o'clock) position.
program fogs to option 1: This will allow you to also use your fogs when just using the parking lights (no main beams)
All of this proramming requires the TechII. While the dealer is programmin those functions you might want to consider some other options: (this is how my car is set):
Turn off Alarm chirp (silent, but lights still flash as an indicator)
Turn off 'Check Brake Light' message on SID during startup
Turn off 'Shift-Up' indicator on gauges
Things I haven't done but are also possible:
You can program the alarm chirp to a low volume. There are three settings: low, high, off. You can also chose whether you want any of the visual indicators like flashing lights.
You can also set it up so that all doors open upon alarm disable. If I need all doors open I prefer to just hit the button twice.
Good Luck,
Kevin

If anyone knows of any other settings post em
