Not limited to Saab. You call Saab and speak to a customer service rep that does not even work for Saab. They have been told how to answer your issue without any regard to unique circumstances, customer loyalty, or common sense. The company line is the company line and the customer is seldom, if ever, right.

From what I see my friends and family going through with various corporations, it’s a matter of time before consumers get swallowed alive. I should add that it seems to be the financial poor companies that give you the hardest time and promote bad treatment of customers. This may explain Saab (and GM) to some extent.

As for Japanese, they lost money for years in the US markets. Let us hope Saab can manage to be so lucky 10 years from now.

I agree that every customer is crucial. One unsatisfied customer can cause a lot of lost revenues. Slap the CEO (and shareholders) and tell them today is not crucial…its 20 years from now that really counts.
