Coincidence? Can't be

I just finished (yesterday) changing the oil in my 2001 9-5 2.3LPT wagon, at exactly 11,202 miles. THe dealer had previously changed the oil at around 9,500 miles with Saab oil (free), but I switched to Mobil 1 and an AC Delco Ultraguard Gold filter. Guess what happens now at cold (even after only one hour) startups? White smoke. Puffs out for just a second or two, then gone. Subsequent startups while running errands, out to lunch, etc. don't smoke, only after the car has sat for about an hour.
Now, I've read on this board (yes, I have searched the archives) about smoke, turbo seals, and synthetic oil, and it seems that opinion is varied. However, several people have commented that their cars started smoking after switching to synthetic. I know mine started IMMEDIATELY after switching, since I would definitely have noticed that much smoke if it were happening prior. I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but the smoking immediately after switching, my experience and others, can't be just a coincidence, can it?. One person here suggested that the synthetic is cleaning out impurities left over from the dino oil, etc. and I'm hoping that the smoke starts to drop off over time. Just wanted to pipe in with my findings, and I'll keep an eye on it and let you know what happens. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.
