Well I've reached a crossroads. Things that the car needs: Turbo is going bad, engine mounts need replacing, needs whole new exhaust, radiators prob. only got one more year, headliners down, drivers seat has a hole from seat heater malfunc. She's about to roll over 200K. Engine seems pretty good, it still goes like hell, and the tranny was rebuilt by Ericson's around 98K and as far as I can tell is till fine. The body is in good condition, a few chips in the paint but otherwise nice looking, no rust. Suspension and brakes are fine, it could be a little tighter. What would you guys do? I should mention that I am not much of a DIYer. I don't have garage space or the right tools. So I would be paying someone to do any big stuff like putting in a new engine or even just the turbo. Also, I've always wanted an SPG, but they are increasingly difficult to find with low miles. And it's not like money is no object. So I know this is a totely subjective thing but, should I rebuild this puppy, and maybe even consider upgrading the APC box and suspension down the line with the goal of emulating an spg's features or should I bite the bullet take out a small car loan and buy one of those rare beautiful early nineties SPGs. Any feedback would be helpful, even if it's to tell me that I should think more about other things besides Saabs.
