All the items you mentioned are within the grasp of the diyer and would be worth doing yourself. Having everything done by a shop would cost far more than the car is worth. But why not have the exhaust fixed (and front trans/engine mount if it's bad)and continue to drive the car until you find something you like. btw most low cost spg's are going to need similar sorting, so you'd parobably be better off with a fully restored spg for more money.
