85 900turbo woes

the auto stats and runs will until it reaches operating temp then it will only fire on 3 cyl while the boost gauge goes into the yellow. happens for 1-2 minutes then catches and runs fine until it cools off again. plugs cap and rotor made no difference. beginning to think that it is the anti knock sensor in the apc system. or could it be the throttle position sensor??? mechanic said maybe a head gasket but no white smoke is seen.
i think maybe a fuel injector or somthing to do with the apc. any suggestions.
