Battery Drain - ideas?

The battery in my 1990SPG is one year old and checks out fine. Recently I have noticed it runs down if sitting for any length of time (3-7 days). I checked to be sure all lights & other consumers are off. Obviously there is a current drain somewhere in the system when the car is not running. As a starting point of where to look, does anyone know of any that are common to these cars? I have heard of failed alternator diodes causing this. Does anyone know which alternator terminals to check & how to measure with a multimeter?
