I have been in paint and body repair for some time now, so I'll try to answer as best I can. Not too familiar with the air flow kit(other than that I want one). But are they made out of fiberglass? If they are plastic, I wouldn't recommend putting fiberglass resin on it to fix it. It'll just break again. Go to a auto paint supply store. They will sell a plastic repair kit. Reasonably priced too. Also, I'm not too sure about the use of the heat gun. It might change the properties of the plastic and may make it look not wuite right. Ask the guys at the supply store. They should know their products and how to get the best results.
