Last winter I replaced the turbocharger on my 900 because it had started smoking pretty badly. It took me a weekend to do in 40 degree weather with out a garage but that is another story. Anyway when I was done I took it for a spin to make sure that everything was ship shape , of course it wasn't. I discovered that I had forgotten to replace the o-ring that goes between the oil return pipe and the engine block. Having just conpleted the job I didn't want to rip into it again to replace the o-ring so what I did was take some hi-temp silicone sealer and use it to create a gasket around the oil return pipe. I let it sit over night and it solved the problem and hasn't leaked in the 8 months or so it has been on there. If your leak is on the top of the oil return line where it attachs to the turbo i don't think this will work. In this case you will have to remove the pipe and replace the gasket. This isn't that easy cause to have enough room to get it back on I am 99% sure you would have to loosen/remove other stuff (exhaust, turbo) unless you get really creative. Oh and before i forget, no you don't have to drain the oil before playing with the retun pipe.
