After thoroughly inspecting the '85 spg engine harness I noticed something strange. The only rotted wires are the six coming from one of the big square connectors. All other wires are fine, even if I bend them, etc. OF the six rotted wires, one goes to the fuel pump relay, one to the starter solenoid, one to the temp gage sender, and a couple go to the not used sensor between the two rearward intake runners. It just seems strange that out of a big bundle of wires only the six going to one connector are rotted?? This wiring harness fix looks easier than anticipated! All I need is some 18 and 12 awg teflon insulated wire..
