the crank sensor is an option, but requires more work. the wolf system is pretty touchy with getting it set right. two teeth on top, a single tooth 180 degrees out, but the pick up sensor must be at 60 dbtdc. might pose an issue on the oil pump cover. the good thing with the stock dist, is the hall sensor can be pinned and the entire body rotated until it is at 60dbtdc. that's why it seems like an easier task.
the two teeth are separated by 10 degrees at #1 to tell the system it's at #1. then it fires 2nd in series, 3rd in series, 4th in series, and back to #1. this allows for sequential injection. other options (crank and cam sensors) are more intrusive to the engine and require more modification, machine work, etc.
i guess the big concern is that the teeth will be too small for the hall sensor to pick up. i would thing it would detect a disturbance and would thus register something. i may have to tinker with a couple different cuts. problem is, the only way to know is starting it up.
