Got 1yd nice (ouch, expensive!) fabric from custom shop and went very well. Old fabric comes off easily, wipe off old foam w steel wool and acetone dampened rag. Used 3M Super Trim Adhesive left over from headliner jobs - never come off again. At the corners, cut little pie cutouts to allow for fold-over distortion. Hint: I swapped my inserts Left to Right as they had a slight bow to them, esp. at the corners. Switching them now causes the sl bow to snug the insert up tight to the door like new.
Taking spare fabric to SOC to sell off if anyone's interested.
