Hello,
Thanks for the great responses.
Well - I went to SAAB today, got myself a brand new PCV check valve for the crankcase, oddly it was all white (maybe a new unit? subaru maybe?) and I installed it. Installed it correctly. Drove home, car worked great, better than ever.
I checked the leak on the vacuum canister, still there. Need to get to that somehow, maybe the external check valve route. Reconnected the hose.
Started the car.
White smoke coming out of the tail pipe. Revved it lightly, more white smoke. Checked the oil. Oil reads just above MIN, after I checked it yesterday and it was full. Let the engine sit for 2 hours. Checked the oil, it's right at MAX.
What the heck is up?
This is the most random bad luck I've ever had. I am honestly considering trading in my SPG for a 9000 Aero, this is bad. Sounds like it may be the headgasket, which hasn't been abused, since I've been babying the car with it's newly replaced block (from a low mileage c900T auto) and a fresh 2.1 cylinder head, along with all new gaskets and seals.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your input
Taylor
