Congrats on your purchase, Daniel. To answer a few of your questions... most people here buy parts from two saabnet sponsors- http://www. eeuroparts.com (online catalog and ordering) and sobstory.com (gotta call over phone). Both have suprisingly low prices. I usually check the prices between both of these businesses to get the cheapest price.
If you can't find what you need there, you can try http://www.thesaabsite.com I'm not sure if they are a site sponsor, but I've had good luck with them also. In my experience their prices are higher, but they have more of the odd-ball parts you won't find other places.
You can also try the Saab junkyard named Goldwing (you can find the site through Google) but I've never used them. I think they will mail you whatever you need. They're well known.
Also check ebay, lots of stuff there (odd-ball parts usually).
As for repairs and such, you should know that it is common for the automatic transmissions to die around 120k miles. Some owners have better luck than this, but generally the transmissions are the weak point on these cars. As for the engines, well... they pretty much last forever if you can deal with the occasional head gasket failure.
Another excellent site used by many saabnet members is townsendimports.com, check it out. Lots of technical advice, etc.
