My housemate came home and he let me hook up to his battery for 15 minutes while his car was running. It didn't even begin to turn after all that. Again, the battery is only about a month old. Do you still think it would be worth trying to scare up a battery charger?
Here'a little more detailed history in case it is relevent:
The AC, cruise control and heated seats have never worked since I've had it.
I hardly drove the car more than 10 miles a week out in Boulder. I did run the battery down out there by not driving it and had to replace it.
This winter, the ignition lock kept getting stuck, so I stopped locking it in reverse. I always am very careful to make sure the key is turned all the way to next position and that nothing is still using battery.
A few months ago, I started working from home and stopped driving it again. Eventually the battery wore down. I also don't lock my doors often (saw in another post that that was draining his battery).
Replaced the battery a month ago, has consistently drained since then and now won't take a charge at all (seemingly).
Could a new battery die that quickly that it won't charge or does it suggest something else is wrong? I drove the car yesterday (although it was weak starting).
Looks like I'm on the hook for the tow as well as the fix?
